2010 Golf Outing

The Kidney Foundation of Medina County held its 12th Annual Golf Outing at Cherokee Hills Golf Course on Saturday, June 12!  In spite of early rain, all was clear for the 2:00 PM shotgun start sponsored by Fresenius Medical Care.

After golf, participants competed in a Goofy Putting Contest which was won by Paul Tomashefski who won an 18 hole pass to Cherokee Hills Golf Course.  Winner of the Regular Putting Contest sponsored by Lazor Insurance and Financial Services was Ruth Forsythe.

Beverages sponsored by DaVita Dialysis and appetizers sponsored by Judge Beth Whitmore were enjoyed before dinner.  Master of Ceremonies Michael Laird (pictured left) announced the contest winners for the event after dinner.  Trophies went to first place team Bob Daniel, Bob White, Mark De Core, and Jim Cooperider (pictured right).  Tom Hilliard won two tires from American Tire & Auto for his longest putt on hole # 9.  Longest Drive (Sponsored by Dr. & Mrs. Delbert Craner in Loving Memory of Tom Longsdorf) winners Pat Main (men's), Diana Maitland (women's) and Kenn Politowicz ("Old Geezers") each drew straws for passes from Emerald Woods Golf Course or Cherokee Hills Golf Course.  A $50.00 Gift Certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods was given to closest to the pin winners Lisa Wade and Bob Daniel.

A luscious cake (pictured left) was uniquely created in the image of The Foundation's "J.R." by Tiffany Matousek.
